Helping Activ8 bring their title sponsorship to life with Monaghan GAA

Activ8 Solar Energies became the title sponsor of Monaghan GAA for the 2024 season for their men’s GAA teams. They wanted to make a big splash and embed themselves in the minds of Monaghan GAA fans, Monaghan natives and people around the country through the sponsorship while supporting the Monaghan team throughout the season.
Ripple worked with Activ8 and Monaghan GAA to bring this sponsorship to life for the 2024 season.
Matchday Brand Activations
We designed and ordered a brand-specific inflatable for match day activations and constructed and managed it at every men’s football home game for Monaghan GAA as well as at a Monaghan women’s football team match. Our fan zone became a real crowd-pleaser with people (both young and old) giving it their best shot!
We also ran competitions on match days for winning signed jerseys, branded Monaghan GAA/Activ8 boot bags and so much more to engage people with the brand. Branding for around the ground was created and erected on match days to improve visibility for photos and television coverage.
Engaging Video Series
As well as match day activations, we conducted two video series that focused on the unsung heroes of Monaghan GAA and two super fans of Monaghan GAA.
Every organisation has unsung heroes and we wanted to uncover these heroes within Monaghan GAA. We spoke to people around Monaghan GAA to give us an insight into the real unsung heroes of the county and created engaging content on these wonderful volunteers.
Our second video series focused on the super fans of Monaghan GAA. We interviewed people on match days throughout the season to find the biggest fans of the county team and the club teams. We had great fun along the process.
After meeting and speaking with some amazing people, we focused on two stories that stuck with us. Below is an example of the former kit man of the team and GAA memorabilia collector Micheal McKenna.
We also created engaging content throughout the season for Activ8’s social channels with highlights from matchday activations and content for building up to the Championship.
The partnership between Activ8 Solar Energies, Ripple, and Monaghan GAA for the 2024 season proved to be a comprehensive and engaging sponsorship. By implementing creative match day activations, competitions, extensive branding at the stadium and two compelling video series, the initiative successfully embedded Activ8 into the minds of Monaghan GAA fans and the wider community.
The focus on unsung heroes and passionate super fans added depth and a personal touch to the campaign. While social media content and the fan zone ensured continuous engagement and visibility throughout the season. This multi layered approach not only supported Monaghan GAA but also solidified Activ8’s presence and connection with the community, setting a strong precedent for the upcoming seasons.
As a first year sponsor, we at Activ8 really wanted to immerse ourselves in the fabric of the Monaghan GAA community.
We felt it was important to shine on a light on the hard work that goes on behind the scenes, the volunteers and passionate fans who dedicate their time and energy to the greater good. Ripple brought that ambition to life throughout the year with their compelling video series.
We also aimed to enhance the match day experience of the next generation of Monaghan GAA supporters. Ripple’s on the ground activations helped engage fans young and old to create long lasting memories.
