8 Brand Activations To Connect With Your Target Audience

Ripple’s Year in Review

We had another busy year in 2022 coming out of the Covid cloud and heading straight back into numerous exciting brand activations and events. In 2022, a number of our clients were seeking brand activations that would provide a bespoke experience to their target audience, either online or in person at an event, in the aim of hitting their Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s) for brand awareness and brand presence. At Ripple, we pride ourselves on creating new activations for our clients which communicate client brand values and goals to their defined target audience, keeping customer engagement in mind as a top goal when carrying out these activations. Take a look back at some of the standout activation pieces we managed throughout 2022. 

Activation: SSE Airtricity Premier & First Division and Women’s National league launch

The Goal?  

Ripple were on hand for the Launch of the 2022 SSE Airtricity League with SSE Airtricity and the FAI. As league sponsor, the ask was simple. They wanted to support and promote the new season of the League and engage with the media, players and their own customers. 

The Outcome?  

We delivered a full media launch in HBV Studios. Media were hosted and taken care of with branded gifts, and content creators had access to the fully branded studio with player access. Hosting the PR and Media press launch on site at the same time insured content was captured for Media release to amplify the reach of the content nationwide. 

Activation: Lucozade Sport Dublin Mountain Challenge

The Goal? 

The Barretstown Dublin Mountain challenge is a staple in the yearly charity event calendar in Dublin. Ripple’s goal was to provide support to the participants with fun and hydration along the course of the race. Lucozade Sport have sponsored this event for many years and our goal is to elevate the event for everyone taking part on their behalf.

The Outcome? 

With the event taking place right across the Dublin mountains, our lively Ripple Branding team were in action ensuring the Lucozade Sports branding was looking its best at all key locations and mile markers. We activated the warm up area at the start line with cooled drinks ready for participants, along the route our promotional staff manned hydration stations with a smile, and we built a photo gantry at the finish line to ensure there was plenty of Instagram-worthy photo opportunities to promote the clients support of the event.

Activation: Irish Life Race Series

The Goal?  

Ripple were on hand for our client Irish Life to elevate and activate a full calendar of events in the Irish Life Race Series. All leading up to the Irish Life Dublin Marathon in 2022. With thousands of participants attending the 4 Race Series events across Dublin, we were there to paint Dublin Purple and to engage with runners in supporting their training goals. 

The Outcome?  

Our branding team delivered a bespoke branding plan across Dublin in various locations during the summer months. Irish Life’s #PowerOfSupport message was elevated with branded photo stands where participants can get a feel for the finishers podium. We also had chill out zones for finishers where they can refuel with snacks and have an appointment and recoup with a registered physiotherapist. These activations ensured that the first year of Irish Life’s sponsorship of the Dublin Marathon was a success.  

Activation: Fingal County Councils Flavours of Fingal social strategy

The Goal?  

We have been running the Flavors of Fingal campaign across various digital touchpoints for a number of years leading to a steady growth in attendance of this world class event. We aim to push the awareness of one of Irelands largest county shows out across the country to increase attendance over the weekend. 

The Outcome?  

This year we brought a bespoke 3D photo area to the festival for the first time creating a ton of content for our social media campaign and as a way to engage the attendees with the councils newly launched app. Over 3 months we also ran a highly targeted social media campaign that started with a Press media launch and finished with a highlight reel video of the weekend which gathered huge engagement on social media for our client. 

Activation: SSE Airtricity Eco Explorers weekend Dublin Zoo

The Goal?  

As title sponsor of Dublin Zoo, SSE Airtricity takes over the Zoo each year and runs a free family fun day. The highlight of our summer calendar, Ripple manage this experiential weekend from start to finish. 

The Outcome?  

We installed the new Eco Explorer trail signs, designed a fun photo prop and built the new animal Discovery Carts for use in the Zoo’s educational programme. Ripple organised safari staff and actors to interact with the public over the weekend to ensure kids and adults were entertained as they made their way around the Explorers Trail. We also supplied ‘Adventure Books and pencils’ to all the kids who came into the Zoo to encourage them to go on the trail and fill in all the answers around sustainability in the Zoo

Marco Pierre White wedding Showcase and New Website

The Goal?  

Our client Marco Pierre White was looking for a digital brand activation to promote their two restaurants in Dublin and their Wedding Showcase in the Donnybrook restaurant. The goal was to create an online presence that reflects their luxurious and sophisticated identity in the restaurant and wedding venue industry as well as being user friendly. The aim of Wedding Showcase digital campaign was to encourage newly engaged couples to come to the event to view the venue and book their wedding at Marco Pierre White Donnybrook. 

The Outcome?  

Tight deadlines and creativity weren’t a problem for Ripple Team. We designed and built a brand new website for Marco Pierre White that boosts brand visibility, displays the plush and sophisticated characteristics of both restaurants and makes online bookings a seamless process for the user. We ran a social media campaign and Google Ads campaign to promote the Wedding Showcase which resulted in a record of visitors and bookings for weddings in 2023.

The Goal?  

To Promote the new Lu Festival of Light being held in Drogheda over Halloween. This state of the art light show was a brand new event to the already packed event schedule of the October bank holiday in Ireland. We knew that an exciting PR and Social media campaign launched by Ripple would drum up awareness and encourage visitors to visit the free event. 

The Outcome?  

With mentions in the Irish Times and Irish Independent we made sure the first year of the event made a huge splash in the media. Our Pr photoshoot and press release was planned with engagement as the focus including some real life Irish legends. Over 2 months we managed a highly targeted social media campaign, planning an entire content strategy for pre-event as well as live content gathering at each night of the festival.  

Activation: Irish Life Dublin Marathon Expo

The Goal?

The Dublin Marathon Expo is seen as the point where the Irish Life Dublin Marathon really kicks off each year. Our task was to turn the RDS Dublin Irish Life purple with a full branding install and to build and activate the 3 Irish Life stands which stood at the entrance to the event. 

The Outcome?  

With thousands of visitors attending the stands for both Irish Life and Irish Life Health, we ensured that the brand had distinct ownership and brand presence over the entrance to the Expo. With photo ops, photo props, free merch giveaways, a chill out area and Irish Life Health’s team of Psychiatrist’s on site to help attendees in their Marathon prep!
